Tired tired tired... the double-double on thursday and friday each week are really wearing me down. Throw in a haunted house breakdown, the rewiring of my home stereo, the final lawn treatment of the season, along with a few other odd chores, and you've got one sore little huntsvillian.
Btw, special thanks to the THREE people who showed up on Wed to do breakdown with me. I couldn't do it without you guys, and we seem to be making fairly decent time thanks to hard work and some serious focus on getting it all taken care of.
We're breaking down again tomorrow around 5:30, and I hope to get everything up to the main theater and the vortex broken down. It shouldn't take long if we get a good crowd.
Found out that the guy who owns the mill dropped by and Jeremy showed him through the haunt. He got to see the vortex and a few other of our props. Two good things came out of his visit. 1) He was heard to say, "If these boys put as much work into something profitable as they put into this, they'd be millionaires." So Jeremy discussed going pro. 2) Jeremy came around the corner while walking backwards through the haunt and was surprised by the level of breakdown. Jim couldn't believe that the haunt went back as far as it used to since so much was already down... Good press on a speedy breakdown... yay!
I'm still hearing good stories about the party... I'm so glad everyone had such fun.
Blackout's tonight... I got the disco-ball moved back as promised. I'm looking forward to hanging out with people... last night was a night of passing in and out on the couch while drooling on Stephanie and glaring empty-eyed at the TV. Sometimes you feel like a zombie, sometimes you don't.
oh well.. back to work
