"Oh My God! I'm so afflicted with grief and terror! We need to celebrate it!"
"I'm glad you're hurt! You deserve it, you filthy pig! Eat the scorn that has grown from my powerlessness to affect my govermental decisions!"
Sickening...
"I'm so violated by all the talk today! I'm a victim of these new events because of the other victims of the past event!"
Get it? I'm a part of this nation, too...
It reminds me of walking through the halls of my high school after a friend of mine had died in a wreck. I watched all these people who didn't even know him hugging and crying and wailing their loss. I hated to begrudge them their sorrow, but it all seemed so false and empty.
So does today.
