Here is how I know I am the luckiest guy in the whole world.

Wendy is not feeling very well tonight, and I got to make her brownies of my own free will.

You might laugh. You might think that sounds silly. But let me point something out. I didn't make the brownies because at nine years old, she read in some book that husbands do that. I didn't make the brownies because Wendy had a roommate in college whose boyfriend did it for her, requiring me to do the same. I didn't make the brownies because I felt guilty for some other aspect in my relationship. And I didn't make the brownies because I was worried about what would happen if I didn't.

I made brownies for the love of my life because I wanted to.

And it makes it even better that if they were made for me, it would be for the same reasons.

I am the luckiest guy in the whole world.

St. Patrick's day is in the middle of shower month, the day before Wendy's mom's birthday, and a friday (long workday for Wes and both of us working that night)... I'm not sure we're gonna be able to do anything besides collapse on the couch that night.

I'm not saying we WON'T come... but it's difficult to make any plans for that day.
