*sigh* No motivation

I need to get wedding and honeymoon pictures online, but I just don't have the oomph. We're still pretty wiped out from all the hubbubb, and I still don't quite feel like myself again. Perhaps if I didn't have so much crap still to do around the house, it would be different. Hell, we still haven't picked up our china from Laurens, much less stowed the table of goodies.

I have been doing some housey things, though. Got the gutters cleaned out, started attacking the hedges to pull them back to some reasonable level of growth, and cut some limbs off a few trees. I need to go pick up some flowers today and get them into the ground. I also need to get some veggie plants, since NONE of my seeds took. I've been fighting with the garden at the restaurant to, finally breaking down and purchasing a nice spread of herbs and veggies plants. I've been quite the horticulturist lately.

Sven the barbarian died in our D&D game the other day. I'd only been playing him for a level and a half, too. I'll miss him. I suppose I'm doomed to make a healer type of some kind. I'm trying to find some way to pull it off without being a straight cleric.

We had planned to use our tax returns to buy ourselves a wedding present, and a big-ole TV seemed to be the way to go. But we've been sleeping poorly lately, and I think a quality mattress has moved up the food chain. We dug heavily into the wedding gift cards the other day and fleshed out our kitchen with quality cook tools... pretty soon, we'll be in some kind of steady-state of marital preparedness.

Nice haul! Three kinds of china?? Damn...I want your friends and family! I couldn't get people to buy the five dollar towels I registered for, let alone my tableware. I actually wound up buying our one semi-casual dinner set by myself.

No, the china pattern just has more than one pattern for the plates. The salad is different from the dinner, etc...

And yes... this was a major haul... mostly due to my mother's GARGANTUAN list. I think I got to invite maybe a dozen of my friends to our 300 person wedding... heh....

It's normal to not have oomph after a wedding. Another couple I know got married recently and the guy described the couple of months leading up to the wedding as like an upcoming final exam that won't go away. There's always something to do leading up to it, and it takes tremendous energy.

Bizarre. I got the same figurine for a wedding gift, which I shamelessly re-gifted to another couple for their wedding. I think that's it's purpose in life.
