The Monstrosity, an update.
Oct. 8th, 2002 03:22 amWell, progress on The Monstrosity is moving at a faster pace than last year, but I still feel a bit stressed about it. We promised we'd get started in September this year, but that didn't happen... and now we've got to get into gear and QUICK...
BUT, I noticed that last year, we didn't have any boards up in the air until October 16th, and we have already started working on that... so technically, we are 10 days ahead of last year's schedule. Now if I can just get a similar work effort, we'll be in business.
Here are pics from last week

And so it begins... with a few boards on the floor.

There's the lumber I've got left from last year... Hand carried up two flights of stairs.

A first draft of the hallway arrangement.

Look! It's almost clean and stuff!

Or maybe it's just the light.

Here's Lump Junior... Son of Lump.

This is the outside of the building... I'm working with the top floor up there.

Here are pictures from today... LOOK! BOARDS! IN THE AIR!

We've even managed to keep the tools nice and organized.

And believe it or not, you could actually hang from those beams.

Bye-bye Lump Junior... may you rest in pieces...

Notice that Lump Senior is significantly larger... It's Alive! It ate it's only son!

The beginning of some cellar doors...
Cellar Door, the most beautiful phrase in the english language.
Oh well... more work on Wednesday...
Special thanks to Pam,
devilturnip, Jeff, and Mike for helping kill Lump Jr.

And don't feel bad about not being able to cellar doors, you could always cellar windows.
