Should be being productive...
Mar. 13th, 2003 12:43 pmBut the rain got me down... so I wasted some time catching up on LJ and then went and had lunch at the best plate lunch joint in town... I had Chicken Pot Pie casserole, black-eyed peas, corn, and cornbread.... very tasty, but now I feel like I'm gonna splode.
I wish today would just wash away tomorrow, and I could have two days to do the things I want to do.

Production Efforts
Mar. 13th, 2003 06:02 pmWell, I managed to get a few things done today, despite my overwhelming urge to curl up under my desk and huddle in front of my heater.
I tilled up my flower bed and planted some basil seeds and a roma tomato plant. I also potted some thyme and got a few flower pots started. I layed down diazonen to kill the ants, and put together this chinsy little strawberry hanging basket that I thought looked cool. Oh, and I mowed the lawn.
Unfortunately, I got roped into some kind of instructional seminar tonight. I've been asked to cover for my boss and go to this meeting, pretending I'm a manager of the restaurant where I work. I'm supposed to tell everyone what kind of things I look for when hiring new restaurant employees. My boss isn't a good public speaker, so she asked me to speak in place of her. I figure I'll go and bullshit for 5 or 10 minutes on what it means to connect with other people and how to look people in the eye when you talk with them. Then I'm going to terrify them with stories of bad references. Maybe I'll make up some crap about a thief I caught before I even hired him. Got any ideas for that story?
Oh well, I need to run to Home Depot and buy a couple more pieces of crap to make my gardening an easier task.
XOXOXOXOXO
