DVD Burning issues

So I got Wendy a DVD burner for X-mas and was really excited by the idea of taking some of my video and making DVDs out of it. Unfortunately, the WinDVD Creator 2 program that came with the burner is crashing every time I try to do anything to actually MAKE the DVD...

*sigh*

Does anyone have any recommendations for what they use to burn DVDs, or do they have a version of WinDVD that works?
