This guy took a photo of himself every day for six years.

It makes me feel... small... and brief.

How one man can keep essentially the same haircut for 6 years..

I should do this.. at least then I could see how different I look between trimming my goatee and letting my hair grow too damn long..

I kinda hoped he could have had a black eye or something during the process to just give it more a sense of time.. I spent too long watching it flipping back and forth checking what he had on the walls behind him or what was on his computer monitor..

Its a cool project regardless

I was curious about that, too. It didn't ever appear to get longer and then short again. It was almost like he didn't get a hair cut.

I'll agree, it was kind of cool.

I'm not sure what freaked me out more, his wildly oscilating hair or his unflinching stare.

No better an example of the current generation could possibly be found.

And I don't mean that as a compliment.

Self referential, self absorbed, self important, obsessive...

I concede self portraits are common in art. I might even find it interesting if he did it for say, fifty years, which would raise obsession to serious insanity (which I have a certain fondness for). Or maybe he could have changed his expression or moved his mouth in small calculated increments to give the impression of speech or changes in mood over time.

Look at it this way, you have less free time on your hands than he.

20 seconds of gestation....
