Droopy Eyes

People are friggin' wierd. We put a time in the ad and we put it on every single sign pointing towards the sale... yet people seem to get pissed off at you if you tell them, "I'm sorry, we're not ready yet. We don't open till 8." I'm sure that these people are just eager to get that super-duper find that will end up on The Antiques Road Show, but don't they realize how rude they are being?
To the lady who sped off at 7:40 and shouted "BYE!" in some attempt to make us regret the loss of your sales, I hope everyone shows up an hour early for your next dinner party.
We borrowed tables from the church so that we could load them all in the garage and just walk them out in the morning, but we still needed 10 minutes or so to get everything organized and move the big stuff out. How do those people run THEIR yard sales? Bark at their spawn to get things ready while people line up to purchase each item as it parades out onto the lawn?
First item stolen? Knife block with knives. Three whole dollars worth of cutlery... STOLEN from right before our eyes. There were two shady lookin' guys who came in and one stayed at the tables while the other made purchases. I suspect they were two grifters pulling a bait and switch in suburban Huntspatch. Those wry bastards must be rolling in the dough. Wendy has placed a curse on whoever took the knives to cut themselves on them. Don't you wish you spent that three dollars now that your BLEEDING?!?!?!
Weird things people buy: an old hewlet packard printer plug. Not the usb cable... but the power cord. The 8 dollar computer monitor is sitting there untouched. The five dollar coffee/cappucino machine has stayed in the same place. But the novelty fishing lure that looks like a beer can? sold....
Last night was dinner at Casa Blanca with friends. Talking about old times and upcoming events. Life is good today.
